    PDP Chapter Chairmen Hold Consultative Meeting With Efiok Cobham

    Chapter Chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, on Thursday held a crucial consultative meeting with the erstwhile caretaker committee Chairman of the party in the State, and former Deputy Governor of Cross River State, H.E. Mr. Efiok Cobham at his campaign headquarters in Calabar.

    The forum delegation comprising of all the chapter Chairmen of the party drawn from across the breadth and length of the state, was ably led by their Chairman, Chief Igwe Godwina.

    The essence of the meeting was to hold very frank conversations with respect to the upcoming party primaries and other sundry issues of importance in the State.

    Meanwhile, the Chairman of the forum on behalf of his colleagues who were present, reassured H.E. Mr. Efiok Cobham of their resolve to ensure that whoever clinches the ticket as the flag bearer of the party, would be one who has been an ardent party loyalist from inception, who possesses the requisite credentials and enjoys overwhelming popularity and acceptance amongst the citizenry of the State.

    Furthermore, while giving his remarks, H.E. Mr. Efiok Cobham described the chapter Chairmen as field marshals who give a sense of direction to the party’s foot soldiers spread across local government and ward levels.

    According to Cross River Arise Media, the former Deputy Governor of the  state took members of the forum on a journey down memory lane to reflect upon the several challenges faced by the party since its inception until the present day and the various roles which he had to played over the years in providing unity, stability and peace.

    Additionally, Mr. Efiok Cobham then formally made his intentions known to the forum, to vie for the office of Governor of Cross River State at the forthcoming general elections in 2023 and sued for the support of the group during the upcoming party primaries to be conducted later in the year.
