    UNICAL SUG President Pays Courtesy Visit to Cross River Police PPRO

    The Executive President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Calabar, Sen. Ebong Vordina Francis, has paid a courtesy visit to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Cross River State Police Command, ASP Sunday A. Eitokpah, MNISMA, in a move aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Students’ Union Government and the Nigeria Police Force.

    The SUG President was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Comr. Wisdom Abraham; Director of Information, Comr. Edama Jude; Chief Press Secretary, Comr. Okonkwo Goodluck Olisaemeka; Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, Comr. Samuel Chukwumobi; and the General Secretary of the Nigerian Union of Campus Journalists (NUCJ), University of Calabar Council, Comr. Umoh Samuel.

    Speaking during the visit, ASP Eitokpah reaffirmed the Cross River State Police Command’s commitment to fostering a cordial relationship with the student community. He expressed the Command’s readiness to partner with the Students’ Union Government on initiatives that promote peace, security, and mutual understanding within the university environment.

    In his remarks, Sen. Ebong Vordina Francis expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to his delegation. He noted that his administration remains committed to engaging strategic institutions and relevant stakeholders in pursuit of effective leadership, improved campus security, and the overall welfare of students.

    The visit concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to sustained collaboration, constructive engagement, and the promotion of a safe and peaceful environment for students and the wider university community.
