The Office of the Vice President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Calabar, has officially launched the Bridge Coalition Vice Presidents’ Forum as part of efforts to strengthen student leadership, improve communication, and fulfill the vision of the Bridge Coalition administration.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the initiative is designed to bring the Students’ Union Government closer to Malabites and Malabresses while promoting students’ welfare through strategic collaboration with student leaders across the institution.

The forum brings together all serving Vice Presidents of departmental, faculty, and other recognized student associations within the University of Calabar. It is expected to serve as a platform for effective communication, collaboration, timely dissemination of information, and collective engagement on issues affecting students.

The Office of the Vice President called on all serving Vice Presidents who are yet to join the forum to contact the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Office of the Vice President, Comr. Chukwudalu Mac-anthony, via +234 704 950 6112 to be added to the official platform.

The office expressed optimism that the initiative would strengthen cooperation among student leaders and contribute to building a more inclusive, responsive, and student-centered Students’ Union Government.

The statement was signed by Amb. Umoh Samuel, Chief Press Secretary to the SUG Vice President, on behalf of Sen. Egbeji Uchechukwu Pascaline, Vice President, Students’ Union Government, University of Calabar.
