Amid Asuu Strike, UNICAL VC Prof. Florence Banku Obi have commence the second phase of road construction in the citadel of learning.
The second phase of the road construction is now connecting from the entrance into the Abraham Ordia stadium to Goldie small gate.
The road construction is also going round the stadium and connecting to the staff nursery and primary school.

Also under construction are; Faculty of Pharmacy, Computer Science, Senator Nkechi Nwogu hostel link, special hostel, UNICAL farms road, UCTH pedestrian gate, new Law Faculty, Old Registry and others all under aggressive construction.
No doubt, the VC of UNICAL, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, is driving an aggressive infrastructural development in UNICAL in line with her vision statement for the institution.
This she is doing by connecting the University to relevant agencies with a view of attracting development to the institution.
The road construction is complementing the new massive projects scattered within the university environment.

This is coming after the “great teacher” had completely gave some lecture halls – Pavilion 1,2 and 3 a new face as well as the renovation of Animal Science laboratory among others.
