A Russian drone attack on a civilian bus in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson killed two people and injured seven others early on May 2, according to Ukrainian officials.
The strike targeted a bus carrying passengers, highlighting the continued danger to civilians in frontline regions of the ongoing war.
Regional authorities said the attack occurred in the morning, with the casualties including both fatalities and several wounded passengers.
Some of those injured were reported to be municipal or public service workers, and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assist victims and assess the damage.
The incident is part of a broader pattern of intensified Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine, particularly in southern and eastern areas like Kherson, which frequently comes under attack due to its proximity to front lines.
