In a statement on Saturday morning, the 18th if April 2020,  the Presidency announced the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. Ten Akwa Ibom Statw pastors have been arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police command for holding church services in the state, going against Governor Emmanuel Udom’s stay-at-home order following the confirmation of Coronavirus cases in the state. It was a surprising and a shocking explosion in Akure the capital of Ondo State. The explosion hit the state capital as at 1am on Saturday morning. The blast which occurred in the early hours of Saturday cut off the ever-busy Akure /Owo road while many people were said to be injured but source as confirmed that no death was recorded. A 200-Level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Michael Adewale Ifemosu, has been expelled by the university for allegedly posting an open letter on his Facebook page to the Vice Chancellor of the institution,  Prof Kolawole Salako. FUNAAB said Ifemosu was expelled because he posted an open letter on the internet to the Vice Chancellor, in which he was said to have raised what it called allegations and misrepresentation of fact about the university. The Lagos State Police Command have arrested a father, Ayobami Isiaka, for allegedly killing his one -year -old baby , Nana, at Ijaye , in the Isheri area of the state. The state Police Public Relations Officer , Bala Elkana , in a statement on Sunday, said when a disagreement occurred between Ayobami and his wife , the suspect forcefully took Nana from the mother and slammed her on the ground.
