No fewer than 240 lecturers, including professors, at the University of Lagos, enrolled on the Integrated Personnel Payment Information System against the directive by the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Thursday effected the arrests of 14 Persons hidden in two trailers conveying cattle from Adamawa State to Port Harcourt. Governor Wike said that the trailers were intercepted following intelligence from well meaning Nigerians who saw them making their way into Port Harcourt. It was a surprising and a shocking explosion in Akure the capital of Ondo State. The explosion hit the state capital as at 1am on Saturday morning. The blast which occurred in the early hours of Saturday cut off the ever-busy Akure /Owo road while many people were said to be injured but source as confirmed that no death was recorded.
