    SHOCKING! 68-Year Old Man Raped 7-Year Old Niece

    What many has described as madness and taboo in Abagana in Njikoka Local Government of Anambra state after a 68-year man, Linus Onuzulike allegedly defiled his sister’s 7-year-old daughters.

    The incident occurred last week when Onuzulike’s sister reported the matter to the police.

    The suspected was arrested and paraded the Anambra State Police Command at the weekend.

    Speaking to newsmen, the 68-year- old suspect, however, denied the allegations, saying he was accused his sister following a misunderstanding between them.

    He said:

    “Benedicta said I raped her 7-year old girl, but I didn’t. She’s my blood sister, married in Umudioka.

    “She came to my house after putting to bed and pleaded I should accommodate her.

    “I gave her a room in my house. She accused me of raping the daughter because of the misunderstanding I’m having with her.

    “I insisted we must go to the police station the following day so she can undergo a test but she ran away with the daughter.

    “She later came out with the daughter and invited the police to arrest me, claiming to have carried out the test on the daughter”.

    While parading Onuzulike and 15 others, CSP Haruna Mohammed, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra also disclosed the arrest of a 24-year-old man over rape of a 16-year old girl.

    He said the 24-year old suspect had voluntarily confessed to the crime, adding they would be charged after investigations.

    He warned those found engaging in any form of crimes to be ready to face the full wrath of the law, insisting the Command would continue to pursue criminals until they refrained from committing crimes or relocate from the State.
