Mr. Emmanuel Thompson Udo, aged 47 (as at 2018) has been handed a 22 year jail term for raping his 14 years (as at 2018) old step daughter sometime in August, 2018.

This unlawful act and conduct happened at  No.5 Afokang Street, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Udo was charged to court after his act was exposed by the victim’s mother who reported the matter to Basic Rights Council Initiative (BRCI) headed by famous Barr. James Ibor.

Emmanuel Udo was found guilty by a Family Court presided by Hon. Justice E.E. Ita on 3, December, 2020 afterwhich he was convicted to prison. However, the case was adjourned to January, 2021 for pronouncement on the jail duration.

Yesterday, 11th January, 2021, the presiding judge pronounced that Mr. Emmanuel Thompson Udo would serve in jail for 22 years.
