    Persons with disability in Calabar Cross River State have decried their continuous relegation from the political affairs and happenings in the state.

    Chief (Barr.) Felix Edet, a physically challenge and charitable homo sapien, who earlier declare to contest for Cross River State House of Assembly under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, clearly pointed out that the physically challenge persons in our society are as important as every other persons.

    “physical disability should not be seen as inability as the likes of Cobhams Asuquo has comquered the entertainment industry despite being blind” – he said.

    He further added; “Every physically challenge persons in Cross River State and beyond is as important like the air we all do breath in”.

    Barr. Felix Asikpo Declares Interest to Contest For Cross River State House of Assembly

    Barr. Felix who is equally physically challenged after loosing a tough fight to Poliomyelitis at a tender age, politely charged party leaders to be conscious of his immediate constituent in party leadership.

    Furthermore, Felix Edet who was reacting to the exclusion of persons with disability in the National Working Committee for the bye-election in Cross River State, however thanked the National Leaders of PDP for including two persons with disability as national delegates in the party.

    However, the valiant and supportive Felix, while hoping for a time when marginalization of physically challenge persons will be thing of the past, he went further to reaffirmed the commitment of persons with physical disability and their unalloyed support for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
