Youths of the Bayside community in Calabar South Local Government Area have locked up the Marina Resort over claims of corruption.
The youths also invoked the marine god believed to protect the Calabar channel, Anansa and accused State actors and resort management of corruption.
The youths accused the Commissioner for Tourism, Eric Anderson and one Mr. Utsu John of mismanagement and diversion of public funds.
Furthermore, the youths blocked the entrance of the resort carrying cardboards with writings on them.
This was written on one cardboard; “No more tourism bureau management in Marina resort, hand over to the community now”
