The Vice President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), University of Calabar, Senator Egbeji Uchechukwu Pascaline, has announced the appointments into key offices of the student union administration.
In a statement dated June 30, 2026, the Vice President said the appointments align with the administration’s vision of building a focused, responsive, and purpose-driven government committed to effective student representation.

According to the statement, the appointees were selected based on competence, loyalty, and commitment to service, with confidence expressed in their ability to support the vision of the Bridge Coalition 2026.

Among those appointed are Favour Felix Kesia-Eval as Chief of Staff, Omere Gift Onyinyechi as Chief Security Officer, Sen. Godwin David as Chief Protocol Officer, and Umoh Samuel as Chief Press Secretary.
Other appointments include Personal Assistants, Senior Special Advisers (SSAs), Special Advisers (SAs), Student Liaison Officers, and a Special Adviser on Legal Matters, covering critical areas such as political affairs, health, welfare, mobilization, academic affairs, entrepreneurship, media and publicity, gender advocacy, women’s affairs, religious affairs, and social matters.

The Vice President noted that all appointments are subject to ratification by the SUG Senate, describing the development as a significant step towards promoting purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and effective student representation.
She further called on the University community to support the appointees as they begin their responsibilities, expressing confidence that they would serve with integrity, excellence, and dedication in the interest of the student body.
