    UNICAL Announces Easter Holiday for Staff

    The Management of the University of Calabar has approved the commencement of the Easter holiday for its staff, in line with the directive of the Federal Government.

    According to a memo issued by the Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka I. Icha, the holiday will begin on Friday, April 3, 2026 (Good Friday) and conclude on Monday, April 6, 2026 (Easter Monday).

    Staff assigned to essential duties are expected to continue with their official responsibilities throughout the holiday period.

    Meanwhile, the Acting Chief Security Officer has been instructed to ensure adequate security across the campus during the break.

    Normal work activities will resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

    The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Offiong Efanga Offiong, extends warm wishes to all Christian staff for a joyful and refreshing Easter celebration.
