Tottenham Climb Out of Relegation Zone with win at Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur boosted their Premier League survival hopes with a crucial 2–1 victory away at Aston Villa, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.

The win moved Spurs up to 17th place on 37 points, overtaking West Ham United, who had lost the previous day. It also marked the end of a long winless run and signaled a significant turnaround in their season.

Spurs struck early to take control of the match, with Conor Gallagher opening the scoring before Richarlison doubled the lead with a header inside the first 25 minutes.

Aston Villa, who rotated heavily with one eye on a European semi-final, struggled to respond and failed to register a meaningful attacking threat for most of the game. Emiliano Buendía’s stoppage-time goal came too late to change the outcome.

The result highlights the impact of new manager Roberto De Zerbi, whose side has now picked up seven points from his first three matches, giving renewed belief in their fight against relegation.
