Portuguese manager José Mourinho is reportedly set to return to Real Madrid CF for a second spell as head coach.
Mourinho has reached a full agreement with the Spanish giants and is expected to sign a two-year contract after the end of the current La Liga season.
The official announcement could come next week after Real Madrid’s final league match against Athletic Club.
Mourinho is currently managing SL Benfica, but a clause in his contract reportedly allows either side to end the agreement for a compensation fee of about three million euros.
The move comes after a disappointing campaign for Real Madrid, who are expected to finish second in La Liga and were eliminated from several major competitions.
However our findings suggest that dressing-room tensions and internal disagreements within the squad, factors believed to have influenced club president Florentino Pérez in considering Mourinho’s return.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, winning the La Liga title, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup during his first stint.
