    CUMSA Unveils New Faculty of Medicine Signage in Calabar

    The Calabar University Medical Students’ Association (CUMSA) on Friday, March 27, 2026, officially unveiled and commissioned a new Faculty of Medicine signage, marking a notable milestone in the college’s infrastructural development.

    The project was carried out under the leadership of the 35th Executive Council, led by Odey Christopher Abubu, as part of deliberate efforts to reinforce the faculty’s identity and establish a lasting legacy.

    The commissioning ceremony attracted a large gathering of students, stakeholders, and supporters, demonstrating strong backing for the initiative. Many attendees described the project as a significant achievement and a testament to the administration’s dedication to progress.

    The event was graced by several distinguished personalities from the academic and medical community, including Prof. Ekaette Enang, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics); Prof. Ngim Ngim, Provost; Prof. Ewa Atana, Dean of Clinical Sciences; Prof. Ebughe, Dean of Basic Clinical Sciences; Prof. Ago Boniface, Deputy Dean of Clinical Sciences; Dr. Cobham Antigha, former CUMSA President; Dr. Essien Kingsley, ARD Secretary; Dr. Ewa Anthony, ARD PRO; Dr. Oshie Emmanuel, former CUMSA President; Emmanuel Obo, SUG President; and Ikpeme Ikpeme, COMEDSA President.

    In their remarks, guests commended the association’s leadership for its foresight and commitment to development, while also highlighting the importance of unity and continuous growth within the academic community.

    The commissioning forms part of CUMSA’s broader commitment to executing impactful projects and leaving enduring contributions within the Faculty of Medicine.
