In line with Political procedures, Barr. Felix Asikpo Edet has officially consulted party stakeholders of People’s Democratic party, PDP, ward 7 executives and member of his bid to inclusively represent the people of Calabar Municipality at the Cross River State house of Assembly, come 2023.
The event which took place at the PDP ward 7 secretariat in calabar had in attendance the likes of the pioneer ward chairman and former councillor and the current PDP women leader in the state, Hon. Florence Bassey Inyang, Hon. Augustine Etim, Hon. Ene Cobham, Hon. Chief Effiong Etim, Bar. Baseey Ita among other political heavyweights that graced the occasion.
While Introducing the aspirant to the house, the PDP Ward 7 chairman, Umoh Jones, reminded party faithfuls and friends alike, of the endless sacrifices Bar Felix had made for the party especially at the ward 7. Jones also assured Felix that the party and indeed, the ward is with him in his aspiration.

However, responding and officially declaring his intention to run for the Cross River State house of Assembly come 2023, Barr. Chief Felix Edet thanked everyone in attendance for honouring his invitation and of course, God upon which his aspiration is anchored. Felix also said his aspiration is anchored on inclusiveness as well as giving voice to the voiceless, especially the physically challenged in the society.
Having seen ability in disability, Chief Felix, promised an open door policy and egalitarian politics and thus, called for support from his immediate constituent in his aspiration.

The party faithfuls and invited guests, who could not contain their joy, flared up in cheers and jubilant chants of satisfaction as they accepted confirmed his aspiration as being timely.
Hon. Florence Bassey while speaking, commended Bar Felix for being the first aspirant to acknowledge the grassroot in his bid to represent Calabar Municipality at the Cross River State house of Assembly while noting that those who consult their roots in politics stands a better chance of winning the election.
More so, in her vote of thanks, Wife of the aspirant, Mrs. Utang Felix said that a man who cares for his wife and family can and will effectively give heed to his people at all time.
