The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Cross River says no corps member has tested positive to COVID-19 in the State. Mr. Enuma Peter, NYSC’s Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations unit, stated this in his reaction to alleged reports that 13 corp members currently in the orientation camp in Calabar, tested positive. The female combatants would complement the existing operations along the highways and the environs. The Police Command in Akwa Ibom says it has two suspected fraudsters who allegedly swindled their victims of various sums in the state. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Odiko MacDon, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Uyo on Wednesday. The Federal Government had released N40billion for the payment of earned academic allowances for varsity lecturers and earned allowances for non-academic staff. Also, the government may release N30 billion revitalisation funds to varsities by the end of this month.
