Brighton & Hove Albion Women delivered a major shock in the Women’s Super League by beating Manchester City Women 3–2, dramatically intensifying the title race.

City had been in a strong position coming into the match and even took the lead through Kerolin, appearing on course to strengthen their grip at the top of the table.

However, Brighton responded with determination and composure to turn the game around.

Madison Haley proved decisive with a brace, while Kiko Seike added another goal to complete a remarkable comeback for Brighton.

Despite City’s attacking pressure and a late goal from Khadija Shaw, defensive lapses and missed chances cost them dearly as Brighton held firm to secure one of their biggest wins of the season.

The result throws the Women’s Super League title race wide open, giving renewed hope to challengers like Chelsea Women and Arsenal Women.

With only a few matches remaining, City’s stumble could prove pivotal, setting up a tense and unpredictable finish to the campaign.
