Arsenal have secured a place in the UEFA Champions League final after a narrow but decisive victory over Atlético Madrid in the semi-final second leg at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners advanced on aggregate after a tightly contested tie, confirming their second-ever appearance in the final of the competition.

The match was closely fought from start to finish, with Atlético Madrid setting up in a disciplined defensive shape while looking for counter-attacking opportunities.

Arsenal, however, controlled possession for long spells and gradually increased pressure as the game progressed, pushing for the breakthrough goal they needed to seal qualification.

Bukayo Saka emerged as the decisive figure, scoring the only goal of the second leg just before halftime.

The goal came from sustained Arsenal pressure and smart attacking movement, giving Mikel Arteta’s side a crucial advantage in a match where chances were limited and tension remained high throughout.

Atlético Madrid responded with increased intensity in the second half, creating several dangerous moments, but Arsenal’s defense—anchored by William Saliba and Gabriel—held firm.

Goalkeeper David Raya also made key saves to preserve the lead as Atlético struggled to convert their pressure into goals.

With the final whistle, Arsenal confirmed their progression to the Champions League final, continuing a strong European campaign and moving one step closer to their first-ever title in the competition.

They now await the winner of the other semi-final to determine their final opponent.
