Barcelona strengthened their grip on the LaLiga title race with a composed 2–0 victory away at Getafe, extending their winning run and tightening control at the top of the table.
The result marked their ninth consecutive league win and moved them to 85 points, opening an 11-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid with only five matches remaining.
The visitors were made to work hard in a tightly contested first half, as Getafe offered stubborn resistance on home soil.
However, Barcelona broke the deadlock just before the interval when Fermín López finished calmly after being set up by Pedri. The goal shifted momentum in Barcelona’s favour after a largely even opening period.
