Arsenal End 22-Year Wait, Clinch Historic 14th Premier League Title

Arsenal F.C. have officially clinched their 14th English Premier League title, ending a 22-year wait for league glory.

The triumph was confirmed on Tuesday after 2023/24 champions Manchester City F.C. were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal uncatchable at the top of the table with one game remaining.

Managed by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have led the league for most of the 2025/26 campaign and finally converted years of progress into a championship.

The title marks their first Premier League crown since the famous 2003/04 “Invincibles” season under Arsène Wenger.

Arsenal’s decisive push came after a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley F.C., with Kai Havertz scoring the winning goal.

That result placed intense pressure on Manchester City, who later failed to secure victory against Bournemouth, officially handing Arsenal the title.

The achievement is especially significant for Arteta, who took charge of Arsenal in 2019 and rebuilt the squad after several disappointing seasons.

After finishing runners-up in recent campaigns, the Gunners finally overcame their title frustrations with a consistent season built on defensive strength, discipline, and key performances from stars like Bukayo Saka and Havertz.

Celebrations erupted across North London as Arsenal supporters marked the club’s historic return to the summit of English football.

The Gunners could still make the season even more memorable, as they are also preparing for the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain F.C. later this month.
