Arsenal  moved a step closer to winning the Premier League title after edging Burnley F.C. 1-0 in a tense encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

The victory handed Mikel Arteta’s side a crucial advantage in the closing stages of the season as they continue their pursuit of a first league crown in more than two decades.

The decisive moment came in the first half when Kai Havertz powered home a close-range header from a Bukayo Saka delivery.

Arsenal controlled large portions of the match but were made to work hard by a determined Burnley side that defended resolutely despite already being relegated from the Premier League.

Burnley attempted to frustrate the hosts with disciplined defending and occasional counterattacks, but Arsenal’s backline remained composed under pressure.

The Gunners created several additional chances but failed to extend their lead, keeping the contest nervy until the final whistle.

The narrow win leaves Arsenal firmly in control of the title race, with Manchester City still chasing closely behind.

However this indicate that the result, combined with City’s recent dropped points, means Arsenal now need only a strong finish in their remaining fixtures to secure the championship.

Manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s resilience after the match, describing the result as a massive step toward their ambitions.

Arsenal supporters celebrated wildly at full-time, sensing that the club is now within touching distance of ending its long wait for Premier League glory.
